Character Run

Plot

A group of heroes live on an egg farm run by the evil Mrs. Eris and her oafish husband Mr. Ledge, who kill any two super heroes that is no longer able to lay eggs. The super heroes try to escape frequently, but are always caught. Frustrated at the minuscule and declining profits that the farm generates, Eris gets a better idea of converting the farm to automated production and having a pie machine to turn the heroes into meat pies. A suspicious Ledge wonders if the heroes are plotting, but Eris dismisses his beliefs.

One day, the super heroes' leader, Marina, Birdo, Spike and Stella see and witnesses a lion named Alex crash-land in the farm's coop; the heroes put a cast on his damaged wing and hide him from the Eris. Interested in Alex's apparent flying abilities, Marina, Birdo, Spike and Stella beg him to help teach her and the characters to fly. Alex, Axew and Bulbasaur give them training lessons while Ledge builds the pie machine. Later, Alex, Yoshi, Axew and Bulbasaur hold a party when his wing is healed, and Marina, Birdo, Spike and Stella insist he demonstrates flying the next day, but Ledge finishes making the pie machine and puts Marina, Spike and Stella in it for a test run. Alex, Axew and Bulbasaur save them and inadvertently sabotages the machine, giving them time to warn the others of the Villains' plans and only a short time to escape.

The next day, Marina, Birdo, Spike and Stella find Alex, Yoshi, Axew and Bulbasaur had left, leaving behind part of a poster that reveals he was a stunt hero, fired from a cannon and unable to fly himself, depressing her and the others. Elderly engine Thomas tries to cheer them up by telling stories of his time as a mascot in the Royal Air Force, giving Marina the idea to create a plane to flee the farm.

The chickens - with help from Will and Sam (two boys who smuggle contraband) - assemble parts for the plane as Ledge fixes the machine. Eris orders Ledge to gather all the chickens for the machine, but the chickens attack him, leaving him bound and gagged as they finish the plane. Meanwhile, Alex, Yoshi, Axew and Bulbasaur, still on the run, encounter a billboard advertising Eris’ chicken pies and returns to the farm out of guilt for abandoning the superheroes. An alerted Eris attacks Marina, Spike and Stella as she helps the plane take off but is subdued by Alex, Yoshi, Axew and Bulbasaur, who leaves with Marina, Birdo, Spike and Stella by holding onto a line of Christmas Lights snagged by the departing plane. Eris follows by climbing up the line to defeat Marina with an axe. As Eris reaches her, Marina, Birdo, Spike and Stella dodge the ax blade which cuts through the line, sending Eris falling into the safety valve of the pie machine and causing it to explode. Having freed himself, Ledge reminds Eris of his warning that the chickens were organized, much to her frustration. The barn door then falls on Eris, crushing her.

The characters celebrate their victory while Marina, Birdo Spike, Stella, Alex, Yoshi, Axew and Bulbasaur kiss. They eventually reach an island, where they enjoy their freedom and raise baby heroes without being disturbed; Marina, Birdo Spike, Stella, Alex, Yoshi, Axew and Bulbasaur start a relationship while Will and Sam engage in a conversation about having their new super hero farm that follows into a debate about the origin of the super hero or the egg.
